If there’s one thing most people can agree on, it’s that waiting in line sucks. Waiting in line at the amusement park? Sucks. Waiting in line at the doctor’s office? Sucks. Waiting in line at the club? The worst. Unless you’re British and into queuing, waiting in line to get into a club or bar is probably not high on your list of priorities.
A new app for your Android and Apple devices not only promises to help you get on the guest list and fast track your entrance into the club, but you can also check how “hot” or busy it is, access the venue’s Instagram feed and even apply the cost of guest list access to drinks at the bar. While the app promises a simple three tab interface, one also has to wonder how functional it will be when the user is *ahem* under the weather.
One interesting feature is also the ability to pay and settle your bar tab in the app! This would not only help users pay in a streamlined and efficient fashion (no more drunkenly leaving your credit card at the bar) but one would think that businesses would have an easier time ensuring prompt payment.
The app is currently available in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, but would an app like this work in a city the size of Los Angeles? With a city rife with Yelpers and review sites of all kinds, would Eve tab be able to handle the size and venue diversity?
One would think that bars in Hollywood and DTLA would jump at the chance to get a leg up on the competition, and with $150,000 of private funding secured by the app’s creators, Kyle Collier, Sameer Pirani and Brian Troy, the future looks bright. Here’s what they had to say about their app:
“Our vision is to evolve night-life into a consistent, premium, personalized experience and become the leader in mobile on-demand VIP. We want to become the Uber of nightlife”
So Reactorites, do you think this app could work in cities like Los Angeles, Atlanta, or New York? Sound off in the comments below!
